Delta Live Tables release 2023.19

These features and improvements were released with the 2023.19 release of Delta Live Tables.

Databricks Runtime versions used by this release

Channel:

  • CURRENT (default): Databricks Runtime 11.3.11
  • PREVIEW: Databricks Runtime 12.2.4

New features and improvements in this release

  • When a dataset fails during a pipeline update, the pipeline DAG now displays a Show latest error link. Clicking the link opens the latest error for the failed dataset.

  • You can now add SQL and Python scripts stored in workspace files when you configure source code in the Delta Live Tables UI. Previously, adding source code stored in workspace files required editing the JSON configuration. See Configure a Delta Live Tables pipeline.

Bug fixes in this release

  • This release includes an enhancement to the email notification retry logic that fixes an error preventing the sending of notifications after receiving a client error.

  • This release fixes a bug that prevented propagation of table comments and properties to Appy Changes target views in the Hive metastore.
