This article describes Databricks Designated Services, which are features in Databricks that use Azure geographies to manage data residency when processing customer content.
Important
If a Designated Service is available in your workspace's Geo, then your content is processed in that Geo. Some Designated Services are not natively available in all Geos, and admins might need to enable cross-Geo processing before these Designated Services can be used. If you enable cross-Geo processing on your workspace, the Designated Service can process your content in other Geos. Importantly, your data is not stored outside of your workspace's Geo regardless of this setting.

* This feature is only available when you enable cross-Geo processing on your workspace. Where multiple models are available for a particular feature, some models might only be available if cross-Geo processing has been enabled.
