You can select a database on the MySQL Database on Azure management interface, select the Monitor window, and monitor key performance metrics for the database in real time.
- Select Add alert to add alert rules as required. The system currently supports the following metrics:

|Replication Queries||Replication queries|
|Replication Transaction||Replication items|
|Slow Queries||The number of slow queries|
|Storage||Storage space used|
|Successful Connections||The number of successful connections|
|Concurrent Connections||The number of concurrent connections|
|Throttled Connections||The number of throttled connections|
- Select a time range of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 45 minutes, and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 hours.
If a particular metric complies with the preset conditions and thresholds, MySQL Database on Azure sends an email message to the administrator or routes the alert to the webhook that you set up.
