Important

  • Server Creation Date: Release notes typically apply to servers created after a specific date, which is mentioned in each release note.

  • Region-by-Region Rollout: Azure deploys updates region by region, so some regions may receive the update before the stated date. In such cases, servers created before the mentioned date may already be on the new version.

  • Existing Servers: For existing servers, updates are applied after the release note is published, during the next scheduled maintenance window.

  • Maintenance Notifications: These notifications will include a link to the relevant release note, allowing you to verify what changes are included.

  • Virtual Canary Engagement: Servers enrolled in Virtual Canary programs may receive updates earlier than general availability, often adopting new versions more aggressively.
